Do not lament those words lost,
nor the ones we cannot quite grasp.
Do not mourn the misplaced thoughts that fly past.

Adopt the words you want to say—
the talk you learn, but won’t shout aloud.
And lament the truth we do not speak—
the words unheard among the crowd.
